MENTOR OF THE FRENCH AMERICAN CREATIVE LAB IN 2016
Co-produced by the French Embassy and Business France in collaboration with the Made in NY Media Center, Top startup founders from the French fashion & design technology community came to New York on October 2016 to learn how to scale like an American startup.
I have been mentoring these founders and taught them how to enter the US market through a unique workshop at the Made in NY Media Center.
The Creative Lab (former French American Digital Lab) is a 10-day exchange program of workshops, conferences, and seminars with leading tech and cultural companies for budding international culture-focused startups. A program of French Tech New York and part of Paris – New York Tandem 2016, the Creative Lab aims to lead the digital transformation of cultural industries by supporting and lending resources to young creative leaders —the undeniable drivers of global competitiveness— who are transforming the way we engage with culture. The Creative Lab seeks to nurture innovative, creative minds in France and the US that place culture and innovation at the heart of their work.
This second edition of the French American Creative Lab finished on a high note last week with a Demo Night that gave the opportunity to our 6 startups to pitch in front of a gathering of American and French officials, professionals of the tech and cultural sectors, VC and media. The participants returned to France with a deeper understanding of the American market and valuable insights into adapting their products for a foreign audience.
The startups’ initial feedback about the program has been extremely positive and the Creative Lab program is still running each year, expanding and including now further cities like Los Angeles & Montreal.
